High School Student J-Rich gives back to Music

"Save the Music Foundation"

Music has always been apart of athlete/producer Joseph (J-Rich) Richards. The young artist quotes "I incorporate music in almost all aspects of my life." So as apart of his senior project at North Penn High School, J-Rich hosted a showcase with "VH-1 Save the Music Foundation" to raise money for music programs in the public schools. This particular event was located at Fisher Park in Towamencin PA, where local neighbors came out to support bands and musicians currently majoring in music.

TwinSounds Multimedia Group was there to capture live footage of the music majors as they performed originals & different arrangements of various music.

Becoming an Effective Coach by: DeWayne Dawkins

There’s no formula for perfect coaching. It's as much about intuition as it is about technique. What works with one person may not work with another, and what works in one case may not work in the next.

There are several characteristics that successful coaches have in common. These coaches: Committed to individual integrity, values, and personal growth. They are profound thinkers who see themselves as educators, not just coaches. They are committed to their athletes and their institution. They are willing to experiment with new ideas. They Love their sport and work. They are Honest and strong in character.

Being a good coach is not just about having excellent sports-specific and technical knowledge. The skill of effective coaching lies in asking the right questions. It is important to ask yourself: Have I planned for perfection and covered all eventualities?

Coaches as leaders: Require excellence; do not expect perfection, Understand your athletes before you can influence them; Create trust and command respect Motivate and inspire them.

Communicating with your athletes: Keep the message concise and precise. Work out whether your athletes receive the same message as the one you think you are communicating. Remember your tone of voice and body language - only 10% of what we recall comes from the words spoken. Find out what your athletes' preferred styles of thinking are - visual, auditory or kinaesthetic? Try to use a story to help get what you want to say across.

Understanding how your athletes tick: Think about how your athletes like to be coached; Look at how well you know your athletes: What are their goals? What is stopping them from achieving this? What can you do to help? Think about how often you ask for feedback from your athletes about your coaching.

Coaching is about a connection, not just about techniques. Coaching is about trust, integrity and honesty, not just about fluent directives. Coaching is about the athlete’s needs and wants, not about forwarding the coach's agenda. Coaching is about creative exploration of possibilities, not structuring predetermined systems and pathways. Coaching is about nuanced, detailed communication, not blanket, quick homilies and tips. Coaching is about creating a big vision, not just about fixing problems. Coaching is about evolution and expansion, not just day to day living.

There’s no formula for perfect coaching. It's as much about intuition as it is about technique. And I quote, --Ralph Waldo Emerson "Life is a succession of lessons, which must be lived to be understood".

Joseph Richards paving the way for Success

Joseph Richards aka “J-Rich” is a young aspiring up and coming artist that is looking to make a name
for himself. Joseph has created some buzz in the course of 7 months with his music through Facebook, and Twitter. He is a dedicated young man willing to do whatever deemed necessary to make great music that his young audience is willing to hear.

In September, Joseph came out with a mix-tape called UNTITLED, which showcased Joseph’s talents as a prolific dexterous rapper. TwinSounds had the honor of producing this young man’s first mix-tape. Since then Joseph has branched out, and started working with other young artists as well. Joseph’s recent song called Ice Cream Cake (Pound Cake); TAJ was featured on the remix of this song.

Cedrick Dehaney along with the TSP family have had the pleasure of watching Joseph grow up from a little kid doing track and field to becoming one of the most amazing basketball players of his time. If that is not enough to keep a young man busy, he is still able to maintain his grades as well. Joseph is always working on a new song, collaborating with more underground artists.  Joseph is approaching his last year in high school, and is truly focused on making a difference in his community and in the music industry. Don't just take our word for it, visit his Facebook Fan page!!!

Jay-Z refuses to be Kanye West best man in Wedding

Having a best friend in the entertainment industry is sometimes very hard to find. Some of the celebrities that do have close friends were well acquainted before they become celebrities. Kanye West and Jay Z have been friends for quite sometime now. They have toured together, created albums together, and have also featured on each other’s personal albums.

The biggest talk of this year is the fact that Jay Z has turned down the offer of being Kanye’s best man at his wedding. Now after I read the reasons as to why Jay Z turned down the offer, I thought from a personal perspective that it was a bit unreasonable, considering the only different between Kanye, Kim and Jay Z and Beyonce is the fact that one couple has a reality show and the other couple does not. Originally, Jay Z accepted the gracious offer of being in his closest friends wedding; only to find out that it came with a condition.

The condition is that there are to be no cameras, or anything that has to do with the media world, to be filming this wedding if he and his family were to attend. A private source also mentioned that Beyonce is not thrilled of the idea of her and family being involved in a taping of the wedding; Beyonce further stated that she does not associate herself with reality trashy TV.

One of The Best Female Recording Artist- Fantasia

In this music industry there are a couple of females that I would consider profound artists; but Fantasia Barrino is by far the most consistent female artist I feel that has ever blessed this industry. Fantasia Monique Barrino was born on June 30, 1984, in the humble state of High Point, North Carolina.

In the year of 2004 Fantasia decided to compete in American Idol; not knowing that she would have been the worlds favorite. After successfully winning the American Idol competition, she proceeded later on that year releasing her debut singl“I Believe” which made it on the Billboard, holding the number one spot.

Shortly following her single the complete album Free Yourself, was released, and with in months made it to Platinum status; which escalated her to receiving three Grammy nominations in the year of 2006. Within that same year, she released her second self-titled album Fantasia. This album involved the chart topping song “When I See You”.  This particular song made on the Billboard as well; nominated for Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a total of eight weeks. This album only made it to the Gold level.

In the year of 2010 Fantasia finally received her first Grammy award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for the song “Bittersweet”. Throughout Fantasia’s break from the music industry; she decided to return back to the studio to work on what would be one of the most influential albums she has ever made. For the first time Fantasia decided to push her talent to another level, and begin writing. In the year of 2013 Fantasia rocked the world with her new song “Loseto Win”. In addition to that, she was asked to perform that same song at the American Idol competition as a guess. This recent album Side Effects of You has dug deep into her feelings, explaining what she has gone through in the past couple years that she was not performing. Since then she evolved into a woman that is not afraid to tell the world who she is now; nothing holding her back at this point.
